What happens at newlife.youth?
Worship Gathering: Our youth gathering is designed to give students an opportunity to hear about Jesus, to worship Him, and to have fun. We do this three ways:
· We sing songs (students can sing or just listen)
· We pray and do a quick activity.
· We hear a message.
Small Groups: Small groups are a place for our students to become more like Jesus with their friends. It is where students are heard and cared for. This is their opportunity to respond to the teaching and to what God is doing in their hearts. This is also where a student gets connected to a leader who is dedicated to love and care for them. We get personally involved in their lives through groups and become disciplers.
Who are the leaders of newlife.youth and how are they “trained?”
Leaders of newlife.youth include pastors and volunteers. Leaders have attended our Starting on the Mission and are involved in our Leadership Community group. They receive training and coaching monthly. Each leader is coached by an elder or coach in our church.
*All leaders of newlife.youth have gone through a background check for your students’ safety.
Are there opportunities for students to serve at newlife.youth?
YES! If your student wants to get involved there are many different aspects of newlife.youth that your student can contribute their skills to. We want students to OWN their faith.
Are there opportunities for YOU to serve at newlife.youth?
At each youth gathering there are a number of needs that must be met in order to allow the night to be successful. We believe a healthy youth ministry has many parents involved and invested in the ministry. If you have any desire to be involved please let us know! Email vt.efilwennull@htuoy
What about camps?
newlife.youth takes students on a few of camps, retreats, and missions’ trips over the course of a year. These events, by taking students out of their normal environment for a short period of time, allow them to see things from a different perspective, and the experience is often enough to change the trajectory of their lives.
